Had an awesome weekend with friends! The location is fantastic, especially after taking the ferry between Clinton and Mukilteo. We enjoyed biking around the island and kayaking, spotting a seal! The seafood shack was a treat too. don't miss the mussels and grilled peach salad.
One downside was the noise machine in our room. It seemed unnecessary, as we preferred the natural sounds of the surroundings.

I loved the historic vibe of Captain Whidbey. The property itself had so much character and charm. The coffee in the morning was strong and delicious, perfect for starting the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the serene grounds with multiple spots to relax and soak in nature. The shared bathroom was very clean, and I appreciated the white noise machine in my room to block out sounds. However, the bed was extremely firm. it felt a bit like sleeping on a board. I also found the rotating bathroom access a bit challenging, especially since one was closed during my stay. The restaurant food didn't meet expectations. it lacked flavor and was overpriced for what I received. Lastly, the dock being closed was a disappointment since I had hoped to enjoy some time by the water. Despite these issues, the staff was friendly and attentive, making the stay pleasant overall.

perfect spot for exploring parks and coastal views
i had an amazing time enjoying the beautiful bay views and relaxing by the fire pits during my stay, which really complemented my love for discovering nature while exploring downtown coupeville and nearby parks like ebey's landing state park, making it a truly memorable weekend escape. for those who enjoy cozy amenities, the communal spaces are perfect for unwinding and meeting fellow travelers. but the sound from the bar below was a bit distracting during the evening hours.

Oh man, the seafood at Captain Whidbey is a real treasure! Don’t miss the mussels and that grilled peach salad—absolute culinary bliss! Plus, I loved the cozy fire pits and chill vibes of the hammocks around the grounds. Perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring!
But let's keep it real—my King room was just the bed, lacking even a fridge or a cozy chair. Plus, the wedding setup blocked our view and brought some noise, which was a bummer. The restaurant didn’t quite live up to the hype either.
